One Young World: The Entrepreneurs Stories

The

Brief

OYW is a charity that gathers together the brightest young leaders from around the world, empowering them to make lasting connections to create positive change. They stage an annual Summit where the most valuable young talent from global and national companies, NGOs, and universities are joined by world leaders, acting as the One Young World Counsellors. OYW asked S4S to produce curate the second morning’s event and to create videos and stories to showcase the success of young social entrepreneurs around the world

The

activities

S4S produced and presented the morning program in 2012. S4S chose 3 social entrepreneurs, one from a deprived town in the north of England, one in Argentina and one in Romania and followed them for 6 months to document their story. S4S produced short films of their lives and they joined S4S on stage at the Summit. Their stories and films are below.

The

result

Over 1,800 young social entreprenurs were able to see the stories of, and meet role models to inspire them to go home and embark on their own mission for social change. The films were viewed worldwide over 500,000 times.
